Scott Forbes was raised in rural Wyoming and has spent the majority of his life in regions with high wilderness availability to human population proportion. He spent several years as a fly-fishing and whitewater rafting guide and enjoys many modes of outdoor exploration. After obtaining a master’s degree in biology from Northern Arizona University, Scott headed to Alaska where he worked as a fisheries biologist for seven years. He spent 2010 teaching biology and agriculture at a secondary school for underserved Maasai students in Tanzania with his partner Lisa. Scott traveled with Lisa to Kanglung where he was lecturer in the Department of Life Science at Sherubtse College.
